“Where Carmel Comes Together”

Built in Carmel in 1976, the Barnyard Shopping Village is a landmark on the Monterey Peninsula featuring more than 50 merchants and small businesses, ranging from couture fashion shops and International restaurants to professional services and art galleries. The Barnyard hosts annual events within its brick lined courtyards and rear event field. The Barnyard is a popular shopping destination for residents and tourists alike.

The Barnyard Shopping Village features a variety of boutique shops and family owned businesses specializing in art and gift collections, couture clothing, jewelry designs, men’s and women’s apparel, comfort, dress and casual shoes, and an array of salon, wellness and professional services.

Dining

Eight locally owned restaurants offer a variety of casual and fine dining, featuring authentic local, regional and international cuisine options, including grilled fresh catch, fondue and healthy salads. Most menus include children’s options, and food is available for any meal of the day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dogs on leash are welcomed to join their owners during meals at restaurants with outdoor patios .

Event & Meeting Space

Our terraced garden setting and several of our restaurants who have large group or banquet areas, and a rear event field are available for both fee based and non-profit events. Contact our General Manager at (831) 624-8886 for details on outdoor space, or the individual businesses for indoor space. When not hosting a special event, our event field offers a 4-hole disc golf practice course and a picnic table.
